Alpha Erec Side Effects: Ingredient Risks and Interactions

Quick answer

Based on its listed ingredients, the main Alpha Erec side effects are stomach upset, low blood pressure and sleep trouble.

Ashwagandha has rare liver reports, and drug interactions matter: never take it with nitrate heart drugs. Chest pain or fainting means calling 911.

Overview

What side effects can Alpha Erec cause?

No side effects or cautions are printed on any label text we have, so this page works from the ten ingredients the brand lists and what health agencies say about each one. The main risks are stomach upset, low blood pressure, poor sleep, rare liver injury and drug interactions.

One gap shapes everything below. Side effects often depend on dose, and the brand does not publish how much of each ingredient one gummy holds. We cannot tell you whether the amounts are tiny or close to studied doses.

Arginine

What are the side effects of L-arginine?

L-arginine can upset the stomach and can lower blood pressure, which becomes a real danger next to certain heart and ED drugs (Mayo Clinic, L-arginine). It may also raise bleeding risk when taken with blood thinners.

Brand graphic titled Inside Alpha Erec showing L-arginine HCl, ashwagandha, horny goat weed, tribulus, maca and Panax ginseng around the bottle
The brand's ingredient graphic puts L-arginine HCl first. Like all the marketing, it shows no amounts.

The body turns L-arginine into nitric oxide, which relaxes blood vessels. That same effect explains the main risk: pressure can fall too far when another drug is doing the same job.

In a 2019 review of trials in 540 men with ED, arginine at 1,500-5,000 mg a day did better than placebo, but side effects were also more common (Rhim et al., 2019). Those trials tested arginine alone at known doses, not this gummy.

  • Stomach: bloating, belly pain or loose stools
  • Blood pressure: dizziness or lightheadedness, mostly with pressure-lowering medicine
  • Bleeding: a higher risk alongside blood thinners
Serious interaction: Never combine an L-arginine product with nitroglycerin or any other nitrate heart medicine. Ask a doctor first if you take a sildenafil-type drug, such as Viagra or Cialis, or any blood pressure medicine.

Ginseng ashwagandha

What side effects do ginseng and ashwagandha have?

Panax ginseng most often causes trouble sleeping, and ashwagandha has rare reports of liver injury. Both can interact with common prescription drugs.

Panax ginseng

Trouble sleeping is the most common complaint, which is one reason a morning gummy makes sense. Ginseng may lower blood sugar, which matters with diabetes medicine, and it may interact with blood-thinning drugs (NCCIH, Asian ginseng).

Ashwagandha

Liver injury has been reported with ashwagandha products. It can change thyroid hormone levels and may interact with thyroid, diabetes, blood pressure, sedative and immune-suppressing drugs (NIH ODS, ashwagandha).

Signs of liver trouble to watch for

  • Yellow skin or yellowing in the whites of the eyes
  • Dark urine or pale stools
  • Itching all over, or pain in the upper right belly
  • Unusual tiredness with loss of appetite

Ashwagandha studies used 240-1,250 mg of extract a day (NIH ODS, ashwagandha). The amount in Alpha Erec is not published, so you cannot tell where it falls in that range.

Zinc vitamin d

Can Alpha Erec push your zinc or vitamin D too high?

It could if you stack it with other supplements, but no one can say for sure, because the brand does not publish its zinc or vitamin D3 amounts. Both nutrients have a safe upper limit that counts every source together.

Upper limits include food, multivitamins and every other supplement
NutrientDaily need, adult menUpper limit a dayRisk of too much
Zinc11 mg40 mgLow copper over time; interacts with some antibiotics and diuretics (NIH ODS, zinc)
Vitamin D3600-800 IU (15-20 mcg), by age4,000 IU (100 mcg)Toxicity, almost always from supplements (NIH ODS, vitamin D)

If you also take a multivitamin

  1. Add up your labels

Write down the zinc and vitamin D on every product you take, including a multivitamin and any zinc lozenges.

  2. Ask for the missing numbers

Call +1 (720) 619-8477 and ask for the zinc and vitamin D per gummy. If the desk cannot say, count them as unknown.

  3. Stay under the limits

Keep total zinc at 40 mg or less and vitamin D at 4,000 IU or less a day, unless your doctor sets another target.

Other herbs

What about tribulus, maca, fenugreek and horny goat weed?

Safety data on these four herbs is thin, mostly because few good human trials exist. Limited data is not proof of harm, but it is not proof of safety either.

Tribulus terrestris

In a 30-day trial at 800 mg a day, tribulus did no better than placebo (Santos et al., 2014). A study of 30 men is too small to catch rare side effects.

Maca root

A review found only a few small trials, at 1,500-3,000 mg a day, and no firm conclusion (Shin et al., 2010). Side effects were not their focus.

Horny goat weed

Human studies are scarce, and most data on its compound, icariin, come from animals (Srivatsav et al., 2020). Human safety data is limited.

Fenugreek

We have not reviewed a verified fenugreek study for this site. We make no claim about its dose, effects or side effects.

Fakes

Why are fake men's gummies riskier than the listed ingredients?

Fake or unknown products can hide real prescription drugs. The FDA keeps finding undeclared sildenafil and tadalafil in products sold for sexual enhancement (U.S. FDA, hidden ingredients).

A hidden drug is dangerous because you do not know you took it. Paired with nitrate heart medicine, it can drop blood pressure to a life-threatening level. The NCCIH adds that no complementary approach has been shown safe and effective for sexual enhancement (NCCIH digest).

  • Skip marketplace sellers and unknown sites with lower prices
  • Do not use a bottle if the seal under the cap is broken

How to tell the genuine store from copies is covered on the where to buy Alpha Erec page.

Fit check

Who should not take Alpha Erec?

Men under 18 and anyone on nitrate heart medicine should not take Alpha Erec. Several other groups should talk to a doctor before the first gummy.

Alpha Erec is a dietary supplement, not a treatment for erectile dysfunction. A doctor can look for the cause and offer treatments that have been tested.

What to do

What should you do if side effects happen?

Stop taking the gummies and write down what happened. Mild problems, like an upset stomach or poor sleep, often ease once you stop, but tell a doctor or pharmacist about anything that lingers.

  1. Stop the gummies

Do not wait to see if it passes. Set the bottle aside and keep it.

  2. Write it down

Note the symptom, when it started, the day you began Alpha Erec and every other product you take.

  3. Call your doctor or pharmacist

Bring the bottle, and tell them the brand lists ten ingredients but no amounts.

  4. Ask for your refund

Inside 60 days of purchase, call +1 (720) 619-8477 or write [email protected] with your order ID. Steps are on the guarantee page.

Emergency

When should you stop and call a doctor or 911?

Call 911 right away for chest pain, fainting or trouble breathing. Call your doctor the same day for signs of liver trouble, unusual bleeding or dizziness that keeps coming back.
